Join us Saturday February 22nd at 1 - 3 pm for a Mending Circle and Fabric Swap Social! In this workshop you can expect basic guidance and assistance with garment mending from your instructor as needed, plus get an afternoon of mending done and meet new friends to trade fabrics, swap sewing secrets, and get help for your projects!
Your instructor, Tori Hopkins, will have a sewing machine on hand for those bigger mends, an iron and ironing board, plus needles, thread, and excess fabric. All you have to bring is your current mends, and any small tools and fabric you prefer to use or want to swap!
What to expect:
- sliding scale pricing (to help grow these meet up events!)
- snacks and seltzers
- a social environment based around sewing -- come to chat and mend, or get some help from fellow sewers!
- a small fabric swap to find new-to-you swatches and to donate your never-will-be-used squares

Happening at 285 Rantoul St in the Friends Forever Studio. Enter through the back door on Pond St next to the purple garage.

Meet your instructor
Tori is an 80's baby, dog mom, human wife and amateur sewist looking to make friends and learn from others.
Cancellation policy
In the event of a workshop cancellation by the instructor or Friends Forever, all attendees will be notified and receive a full refund and notified of a rain date if any.
There is a 5-day cancellation window for attendees. You can cancel your reservation within 5 days before the class date to receive a refund. Cancellations after the 5-day window will not be refunded.
In the event of a rescheduled class, patrons with already purchased tickets will be notified and get first priority for seats for the new date. New and remaining seats -- if any -- will then be opened up to the public for purchase.
Where is the studio located?
285 Rantoul St at the Pond St entrance around the corner. Look for the purple garage door!

I want to have my party/private event at FFS!
Please send all inquiries for private events to bebright@soymuchbrighter.com with the date and time you are looking to book the space for. We are open to hosting fundraisers, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, or other events for ages 18 and up. Please also include in your email if you'd like the studio to also host a workshop for your event - ex: candle making, painting, etc
Photography policy
Photographs may be taken at any of the FFS workshops and may be used in future marketing of the studio and it's events
Do you have kids classes?
Unfortunately no, we are an adults-only studio space. All our classes are 18+ unless otherwise stated.
